Booming demand for functional fibres and surfaces to replace, reinforce or expand the properties of conventional materials is confronting plant engineers, component suppliers and product manufacturers with ever greater challenges. In addition, rising standards of living and demographic change are boosting global demand and influencing product requirements. A new focus is emerging on products for nursing and hospitals. In view of the global threat of multi-resistant germs in hospitals and healthcare facilities, more eyes are being turned towards disposable textiles and nonwovens as the most promising solution to increasing hygiene requirements.
Thanks to its competence in integrated solutions, GKD-SolidWEAVE is optimally equipped to respond to these new tasks and to the rising demand for efficient filtration of raw materials like polymers or cellulose. It offers woven hi-tech constructions specifically designed to support demanding filtration tasks in nonwovens production.
